It can be quite a stressful experience to have to clean out and sell your mother's house and move and I was very dubious about choosing the right agent for the job. Buying and selling a home at any time is a major event in most people's lives. For me it presented more challenges than I ever anticipated as I made the decision to downsize and prepare for living more simply in my later years of life.
This major event in my life was made possible through my dealings with Wilkinsons Real Estate. I was able to undertake the process of buying and selling at the same time in difficult circumstances through the expertise and professional guidance of Robbie Dunn, one of Wilkinsons' sales consultants.

The journey I took to finding "the one" was a long and arduous road, I looked at close to 40 houses over a 5 month period. Plus spent a lot of time on real estate websites.
Steve at Wilkinson's, was the first realtor who was honest with me, he was very genuine and interested in my views on the house and the asking price. He seemed to really care about finding the right house for us, and didn't push onto me selling points of a house when he could see I simply wasn't interested in it. He always made himself available, and was very quick to organise inspections to suit myself and the vendor. I could see he was a fair negotiator and worked very hard for both myself and the vendor to reach a price we were both happy with. I was really happy when we moved into the house that Steve kept in contact with us to make sure everything ran smoothly.

I am writing this letter to bring to your notice Maggie Zorlu, Senior Sales Consultant, attached to your Real Estate Agency.
During the last quarter of 2009 I was placed in a position where I contested my stepfathers Will due his death. As a result my solicitor had me perform many tasks relating to my home at Ebenezer.
One such task was to have my home valued by three separate Real Estate Agents. These valuations were requested in writing for presentation to the Supreme Court.
I spoke to Maggie from your office and she without hesitation attended my home inspected the property and gave me a valuation. I was very impressed from the first time I met Maggie. Maggie at all times was very professional in her approach and above all honest. I could also sense genuine empathy from Maggie being placed in a position to contest my Stepfathers will. As a result I trusted Maggie to the fullest, so much so that I informed her of my personal situation.
Maggie put in many extra yards she was able to see how my situation played on my emotions. I am so thankful to Maggie for her support. This support continued as other requests were made. (Drive by valuations)
As Maggie had to attend my home to perform the valuation and this required her professional time I attempted to pay. Maggie refused payment even after me trying several attempts to pay. Maggie provided her time without fee.
Other Real Estate Agents from the area attended showed no concerns had a very brief look at the home and property and promptly asked for payment. I understand payment for their professional time. At no time did these agents show professional or caring attitude. It was handled as though I had encroached upon their time and they left as quickly as possible.
